What is GoGuardian?
GoGuardian is a Chromebook monitoring and teacher facilitator application that helps students learn safely, stay focused, and get engaged. Features of GoGuardian include tab control, attention mode, screenshots, Google Classroom integration, link sharing, content filtering and so much more. While active teacher monitoring is still the best way to minimize distractions from the learning process, GoGuardian is a complementary tool to ensure that students are making good choices in our new digital environments.
The Purpose of GoGuardian
What Are My Child's Responsibilities?
Students are to use their school-issued Chromebook, while signed in with their schools account, for educational purposes only during school hours and outside of school hours. Specific responsibilities are located in our school's Acceptable Use Policy, which students have signed and are expected to abide by.
What are the parental/guardian responsibilities?
When your child is not at school, you are responsible for supervising your child's internet access and usage. We encourage parents/guardians to discuss rules for appropriate internet usage with your student and reinforce lessons of digital citizenship and online safety with your student.
